Hypnapod was exhibited in the Queen Victoria Museum and Art Gallery, Tasmania, Australia, housed in a 19th century railway workshop from 13-15 January 2018 as part of Mona Foma.

6 suspended, flexible pods commissioned by MONA (Museum of Old and New Art) and supported by the Australia Council for the Arts.

The pods were designed through collaboration with Dr Jenny Underwood from RMIT University Fashion and Textiles School, on a Japanese Shima Seiki machine, using a combination of rib and milano knit structures for maximum body contour and comfort.

The pods proved popular with family groups visiting the Museum, and a diverse Mona Foma audience, with over 1000 people experiencing the pods over the 3 day period.

Artists: David Patman, Michelle Boyde, Matt Warren and Richie Cyngler with knit technician Dr Jenny Underwood.
